Key Workers

2020 was a rather challenging year, to say the least. Life as we know it ground to a halt amid the pandemic, but had it not been for our key workers’ resilience and dedication, things may have looked a lot different.

It put a huge strain on key resources, and as a result key workers have been working extremely hard to keep us safe and the nation going during these difficult times; whether it's on the front line in hospitals, charity volunteers helping people in need, or shop staff providing our essentials every week.

Last year, to say thank you, Cif distributed half a million new Cif Anti-Bac & Shine ecorefills and bottles for life to key workers across the UK in partnership with The Work Perk, and to local charitable organisations with our donor partner In Kind Direct.

Now in 2021, coming out of another lockdown and starting to see family and friends again, it's more important than ever that we continue our hygiene efforts to keep our communities and loved ones safe. To help, Cif has distributed a further quarter of a million Cif Anti-Bac & Shine ecorefills and bottles for life to key workers across the UK in partnership with The Work Perk.

We hope that this gesture will have a large impact in helping to keep millions of people & their families safe, and their homes beautifully clean.

About In Kind Direct

In Kind Direct is the UK charity providing life’s essentials and ensuring no usable product goes to waste. Founded in 1996 by HRH The Prince of Wales, they offer a simple solution to distribute products donated by companies to the local charities, community groups, foodbanks and schools that need them to support their communities. In Kind Direct has distributed over £250 million worth of products to over 10,500 charitable organisations supporting millions of people each year.

This year, more people are struggling to access the essentials like cleaning products, toothpaste, hand wash, laundry detergent and toilet roll. No one should have to go without them. Cif wants to help people who are struggling to access disinfectants to keep their homes safe, by giving away hundreds of thousands of Anti-Bac & Shine ecorefills and bottles for life to key local charitable organisations with In Kind Direct.

COVID had us worried our heads were in a spin,

The germs were running rampant we didn’t know if we would win,

But thanks to cleaning habits being introduced en masse,

We have every confidence this awful time will pass,

So with eco Cif we’ll scrub, scrub, scrub until every surface gleams,

We can keep the awful germs at bay and save the planet so it seems,

‘Cos eco Cif is biodegradable and the bottles reusable too,

So we can do our bit for climate change with the help of The Work Perk crew
